Atelier Editions
A contemporary Surrealium colour interpretation, not a claim to recover the artist's intended colours.
Artist: Albrecht Dürer
Museum original and attributionThis Surrealium Atelier edition offers a contemporary color interpretation of an original pen and ink drawing by Albrecht Dürer, held in the collection of The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Dürer, a master of the German Renaissance, is credited as the original artist, while Surrealium developed this new edition.
Where the original study captures form in precise monochrome line work, this interpretation introduces a palette of mineral blue, muted green, and warm earth tones against an ivory background. The colors are applied with digital precision, designed to complement and highlight Dürer's masterful modeling and detail without altering his original composition.
This exclusive Surrealium edition is presented here for the first time in full color. It is available to all as an archival fine-art print or gallery canvas. For those with an active Fable subscription, the work can be further customized.
Each piece is made to order as a gallery-quality canvas or an archival fine-art print, using richly pigmented inks on heavyweight matte museum-grade paper. This edition is developed and offered by the Surrealium atelier at Kastellet, a 17th-century sea fortress in the Stockholm archipelago.
