A seated prophet rests his face against one hand, surrounded by figures and the sweeping architecture of the Sistine ceiling. Giorgio Ghisi’s engraving, dated 1570–75 by The Metropolitan Museum of Art, records this composition after Michelangelo Buonarroti.

The Surrealium atelier interprets the engraved plate in terracotta, dusty rose and mineral blue. Made with Flux and reviewed against the museum image, this contemporary colour edition follows the source composition while giving its surfaces a new palette. It does not claim to reconstruct Michelangelo’s fresco colours.
