April, from Twelve Months of Flowers by Henry Fletcher (English, 1710-1750)
after Peter Casteels III — archival fine-art print from Fable

This piece captures a lush bouquet of spring flowers, overflowing from a classical urn. A hallmark of the Rococo era, the composition is a study in abundant beauty, with tulips, peonies, and narcissus artfully arranged against a dark, quiet background. The soft, even light illuminates every petal and leaf, giving the work a gentle, lifelike presence.

The rich yet delicate palette brings a feeling of renewal and classic romance to a room. Soft pinks, creamy whites, and sunny yellows create a composition that is both vibrant and serene. The artwork introduces a sophisticated touch of color, creating a focal point that is elegant without being overpowering.

As classic wall art, 'April' is a versatile choice for a living room, bedroom, or refined entryway. It hangs beautifully above a sofa or console table, either as a standalone statement piece or as part of a vintage-inspired gallery wall. Its timeless quality complements both traditional interiors and modern spaces seeking a touch of historical grace.

This work is from an 18th-century series engraved by Henry Fletcher, after the original paintings of Rococo artist Peter Casteels III. Each archival print is made to order on heavyweight, museum-grade matte paper with archival pigment inks for lasting color and detail. Restored and certified by the Surrealium atelier at Kastellet, a 17th-century sea fortress in the Stockholm archipelago.
