This work is a contemporary interpretation of “Armor,” a charcoal drawing created by French Symbolist artist Odilon Redon in 1891. The museum original is a monochrome study of a knight in profile, his form emerging from shadow. This exclusive Atelier Edition revisits Redon's vision, digitally rendering the haunting composition in a new, dreamlike palette of velvety indigo, smoky violet, pale gold, and pearl.

The new coloration gives the piece a luminous, mystical quality. The deep, cool tones and ethereal highlights create a focal point of quiet contemplation, suited for interiors that value art with a sense of history and mystery. This work is a compelling choice for a living room, bedroom, or study, adding a classic, introspective mood to a gallery wall or standing alone as a statement canvas print.

This archival print is available for purchase by all customers. Customization of the work is an affordance reserved for Fable subscribers. Each piece is made to order as an archival fine-art print on heavy, matte museum-grade paper, using pigment inks for enduring color. This edition is prepared by the Surrealium atelier at Kastellet, a 17th-century sea fortress in the Stockholm archipelago.
