This archival print presents a contemporary interpretation of an 18th-century engraving by the visionary artist William Blake, based on a design by Thomas Stothard. The original work, a masterclass in Romantic line and form, is reimagined here in full color through a digital process guided by our artists. Luminous gold, deep lapis blue, and flame orange give the composition a new, mystical dimension reminiscent of visionary tempera paintings.

Our Atelier Edition allows you to experience this historic piece in a new light. We present our exclusive color interpretation alongside the original black-and-white engraving to showcase the transformation. While the original work from 1790 resides in the public collection of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, this vibrant edition is created by and available only through Surrealium.

This archival fine-art print is available for purchase by all customers, with no membership required. For our subscribers, this work also serves as a canvas for your own creativity. Active Fable members can use their subscription to further customize the palette and create a truly personal version of this classic work.

Each piece is printed to order on heavyweight, museum-grade matte paper using archival pigment inks for depth and longevity. This Atelier Edition is reimagined and presented by Surrealium at Kastellet, our studio in a 17th-century sea fortress in the Stockholm archipelago.
