Monogrammed stationery for your own letters

Personal monogrammed stationery: letter sheets, correspondence cards, bookplates and gift tags, and how to make a set with your own initials.

A letter is an event

Almost nobody writes letters any more, which is why a handwritten one is an event. Monogrammed stationery is the quiet pleasure of having your own paper: a few sheets with your initials at the head, a correspondence card for a quick thank-you and envelopes that match.

Your initials as a mark

A brass embosser with an S and A monogram, the same monogram blind-embossed on ivory paper and pressed into a green wax seal on an envelope.

Illustrative scene made from a real Fable design; not a photograph of a delivered order.

Preview your monogram

A monogram can be printed at the head of a sheet, blind-embossed like this one or pressed into a wax seal on the envelope. Two or three letters drawn as one feel more personal than a name in a typeface.

Choosing letter styles

Tall, pointed Gothic letterforms with outlined strokes; Fable presentation of O’Kane plate 105.

Historical design reference, presented by Fable; not a grant of arms or a new personal design.

See letter styles

Gothic letters feel old and formal. Roman capitals feel classic. Script feels warm. Our story on historic monogram styles shows the families.

The pieces of a set

A letter sheet and continuation sheet, a correspondence card, a bookplate for your books, gift tags, invitations and thank-you cards, and envelopes. In the family stationery collection you write your own words and print at home or send the files to your printer.

A crest instead

The Harcourt coat of arms: a red and gold quartered shield of owls on books and stacks of red books, an owl crest and red and gold mantling.

A design made with Fable Heraldry: a decorative emblem, not a grant of arms.

Preview a crest

If you would rather have symbols than letters, a personal crest works the same way: small at the head of a sheet, large on a bookplate.

How to use it

Keep a few sheets and cards at your desk with stamps and a good pen, so writing a note takes five minutes rather than an errand. Correspondence cards are for thank-yous, condolences and quick replies. Letter sheets are for longer news. Put your monogram on the envelope flap as well, and the letter is recognised before it is opened.
