Realtor business cards that clients keep

Most agents’ cards end up in a drawer. What makes a realtor business card worth keeping, from the front design to the back, the paper and the moment you hand it over.

A card is a small object

A business card is the only part of your brand a client can keep in a wallet. Most realtor cards are a headshot, a logo and a phone number in a hurry. The ones that get kept feel like an object: good paper, one strong mark and enough space to breathe.

Lead with the mark, not the photograph

The Ashdown coat of arms: a blue shield with three silver oak trees and a gold chevron carrying a red key, blue and silver mantling and a gold motto scroll.

A design made with Fable Heraldry: a decorative emblem, not a grant of arms.

Preview your emblem

Put your emblem on the front, alone or with your name beneath it. A coat of arms like Ashdown’s oaks and key gives the card a face. Your photograph can go on the back with your details, where people look once they have decided to keep it.

What goes on the back

Name, the brokerage name as your licence requires, a mobile number, email and website. Many places also require a licence number on advertising, and a card counts; check your state or local rules. Leave out slogans. A clean back looks confident.

Paper and finish

A Welcome home card and Ashdown Estates letterhead with a blue coat of arms of oak trees and a key, on a marble kitchen island beside two brass house keys.

Illustrative scene made from a real Fable design; not a photograph of a delivered order.

Choose a heavy uncoated stock in a warm white or ivory. Matte paper takes ink beautifully and looks like letterhead rather than a flyer. If your printer offers it, a single foil colour on the emblem is enough luxury. The same emblem then travels onto your letterhead, listing cards and the Welcome home card you leave on closing day.

The moment of handing it over

Hand a card at the end of a good conversation, not the start. Write a line on the back if you promised something: a school, a contractor, a date. A card with your handwriting on it is the one that survives.

Fable draws the emblem free to preview. With the Business pack you keep it with commercial use in writing, brand files, and the realtor stationery collection where you write your own words: business cards, letterhead, listing cards, contracts, invoices, invitations and thank-you cards. Print at home or send the files to your printer. Fable crests are decorative emblems, not grants of arms.
